    Senior Occupational Therapist

Dublin 16Pay and benefits detailed belowPosted Just posted

    About the Role

This is a clinically rich, highly valued role within a busy and rapidly growing service. The wider organisation is Ireland's largest private-pay autism assessment provider, HSE approved, trusted by families, schools and public services across the country. If you're an OT with experience in neurodevelopmental assessment, you'll find a level of clinical quality and team support here that's hard to find elsewhere.

You'll conduct comprehensive ASD assessments using gold-standard diagnostic tools, lead and coordinate the assessment process with psychologists and SLTs, and produce detailed professional reports with clear recommendations for families and supporting services. For experienced candidates, there's genuine scope to move into a supervisory or senior role, and remote working is available for the right person.

The service has been built so OTs can do outstanding diagnostic work without being buried in admin, without working in isolation, and without the financial uncertainty of going it alone, with industry-leading pay, performance bonuses, a full admin team, cutting-edge clinical technology, and a no-waitlist model.

    What's on offer

    • Salary above the equivalent HSE Occupational Therapist scale, €55,000 to €85,000 depending on grade and experience
    • Total reward of €75,000 to €110,000+ including pension, incentives and benefits at Senior grade
    • Performance bonuses that recognise excellent clinical work
    • Contractor arrangements available for self employed or contracted work, with rates agreed by assessment type
    • CORU registration fees paid
    • Pension, employer contribution up to 5% at Staff grade, rising to 8% at Senior
    • Annual leave, 24 days, rising to 25+ on promotion to Senior
    • Autism assessment training fully funded, including ADOS 2 and ADI R where relevant to your role
    • CPD budget, annual budget plus professional development support
    • Sick pay, 4 weeks full pay per year
    • Maternity cover, top up to 50% of salary for 12 weeks above statutory Maternity Benefit
    • AI clinical documentation tools and dedicated admin support, so time stays on clinical work
    • Group and individual supervision built into the role
    • Laptop and tech equipment provided
    • Clear progression pathway from Staff to Senior, based on performance rather than vacancies

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive ASD assessments using gold-standard diagnostic tools
    • Lead and coordinate the assessment process with psychologists and SLTs
    • Produce detailed professional reports with clear recommendations
    • Supervise and mentor junior staff as the service grows

    Requirements

    • BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent CORU-registered qualification
    • Current CORU registration
    • Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments with children in a clinical setting
    • ADOS-2 and ADI-R training, essential for this role
    • Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and ASD-specific assessment tools
    • Detailed, professional report writing accessible to families and services
    • Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
