Principal Psychologist
About the Role
We are recruiting a Principal Psychologist to lead the psychology team at a specialist, HSE approved autism assessment service. There is no waitlist and turnaround is fast. You get a proper multidisciplinary team around you, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, and an operations team that handles the admin.
This is a leadership role with your clinical hand kept in. You will own clinical governance, quality and KPIs for the psychology team, supervise and mentor Staff Grade and Senior psychologists, and shape how the service grows across Cork and Limerick. Your own clinical commitment stays manageable, around 10 reports a month, not 16 or more.
The working pattern is genuinely hybrid: 5 to 10 clinic days a month, with the rest remote. AI assisted report writing and automated ADI R scoring keep the admin load down so your time stays on clinical and leadership work.

Key Responsibilities
- Own clinical governance, quality and KPIs for the psychology team

- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists and speech and language therapists

Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology
- PSI Chartered status
- Senior level experience, including supervision and service leadership
- ADOS 2 and ADI R assessment experience
- A genuinely neuroaffirming approach
