Regional Project Manager - Germany
About the Role
A growing international electrical and MEP contractor is scaling its German project base and needs a locally credible delivery leader to own the detail across multiple sites. The immediate focus is data centre delivery in the Frankfurt and Rhine Main region.
This is a full time, permanent senior appointment focused on deep project management capability: programme control, site coordination, reporting, procurement follow up, client communication, risk management and delivery accountability. It is a delivery leadership role, not a purely strategic country head role. The successful candidate must be willing to own the details: schedule, Gantt updates, labour planning, procurement trackers, site issues, client commitments, commercial evidence and weekly reporting. Future leadership progression is available, but it will be earned through project delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple active project workstreams across Frankfurt and the wider German market
- Own delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning, snagging, handover and close out
- Maintain site by site visibility of programme, progress, labour, materials, technical issues, risks and client actions
- Create, maintain and update project schedules, Gantt charts, two week and four week lookaheads
- Submit clear weekly reports covering progress, labour, materials, procurement, blockers, client actions, H&S, quality and variations
- Coordinate supervisors, electricians, apprentices, subcontractors and specialist suppliers across active sites
- Work with procurement to produce material schedules, order trackers and long lead item visibility
- Represent the business professionally with clients, main contractors and site teams, and record commitments and actions clearly
- Work with the QS and commercial team to identify variations, capture evidence and protect margin
Requirements
- Strong multi site project management experience, with an electrical, MEP or data centre delivery background
- Excellent scheduling, tracking and reporting discipline, comfortable updating Gantt charts and project trackers weekly
- Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and clients
- Fluent professional English; Germany based or willing to be Frankfurt based
- Data centre or mission critical experience in Frankfurt is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk Build, Smartsheet or similar is advantageous
- Hands on, structured, accountable and commercially aware, calm under pressure and confident with clients
