Psychologist (Adult ADHD Assessment)
About the Role
Ireland's largest private-pay autism assessment and intervention service, HSE approved, recognised by the Department of Education, and trusted by families, schools, employers and public services across the country. The service is now expanding dedicated adult AuDHD capacity to address one of the most under-served areas of Irish neurodevelopmental diagnostics: working-age adults seeking clear, court- and workplace-defensible diagnosis where childhood referrals never happened.
This is a specialist adult AuDHD assessment role, co-occurring Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD presenting together in adulthood. The client cohort is well-defined: adults referred for diagnostic clarity, often with histories of late or missed diagnosis, masking, complex co-occurring presentations and clear practical needs.
The role is a remote, sessional engagement, you set your own diary, you carry your own caseload, and the service provides full administrative wrap-around. Assessments are conducted via secure telehealth, with intake, scheduling, payment, pre-screening dispatch and post-assessment documentation handled by the in-house client experience team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct full adult AuDHD assessments combining structured diagnostic interview, validated psychometrics and collateral review
- Produce neuro-affirming, evidence-based formulations that account for masking and late-diagnosis presentations
- Work through complex differential pictures rather than collapsing them into a single label
- Produce detailed reports accessible to clients, employers, GPs, third-level disability services and psychiatry pathways
- Deliver thorough post-assessment feedback sessions with clear practical next steps
- Collaborate with in-house psychiatrists, psychologists, OTs and SLTs on complex cases
- Deliver all assessment work remotely via secure telehealth, on a schedule you set
Requirements
- Current PSI Chartered Psychologist status (Counselling, Clinical or Educational), verified at offer stage
- Substantial experience conducting adult ASD and adult ADHD assessments
- Trained in ADOS-2 (Module 4), ADI-R or DISCO, and familiar with DIVA-5, Conners CAARS and BRIEF-A (or equivalents)
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5-TR criteria and neurodiversity-affirming clinical literature
- Thorough, clear reports that hold up at HSE, Department of Education, employer and Revenue level
- Comfortable managing your own caseload within a fully remote, sessional structure
- Personal professional indemnity insurance required
Benefits
- €700-€800 per completed assessment, depending on complexity and experience
- Fully remote, work from anywhere in Ireland
- Set your own diary, no minimum caseload or required hours
- Full admin support, intake, scheduling, payment and correspondence handled in-house
- AI-assisted clinical tools to reduce admin load
- In-house MDT support for complex cases and onward referral
- Regular group and individual supervision available
- CPD funding for adult neurodevelopmental development
