Locum Vet Surgeon - Mixed Practice (Yorkshire)
About the Role
A well established mixed practice in Yorkshire needs a locum vet surgeon to cover a longer term absence. The caseload spans small animal consults and surgery alongside farm and equine calls. Out of hours and on call can be included for a higher day rate by mutual agreement.
The model is candidate led. You share your available dates, your base location and travel radius and your day rate, and we bring the work to you. We check MRCVS registration before any booking is confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver small animal consults, surgery and emergency work
- Attend farm and equine calls as required by the practice
- Share on call and out of hours cover where agreed
- Keep contemporaneous records in the practice management system
- Support the RVN and student team through the day
Requirements
- Current MRCVS registration, verified before booking
- Confident across mixed practice including farm and equine
- Comfortable with on call and out of hours cover
- Full UK driving licence and own transport for farm calls
- Professional indemnity cover in place
