Locum RVN - Theatre Nurse (South East)
About the Role
A referral hospital in the South East is looking for a locum RVN to support a busy theatre list. The role covers anaesthesia, surgical assistance and post operative recovery across soft tissue and orthopaedic lists. This suits a confident theatre nurse with referral or high volume first opinion experience.
This is a candidate led booking. You tell us your available dates, your travel radius and your day rate, and we bring the shifts to you. We verify RCVS RVN registration before any booking is confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor anaesthesia across a busy theatre list
- Assist the surgeon during soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures
- Manage post operative recovery and pain scoring
- Maintain theatre prep, sterilisation and equipment logs
- Support the ward team on recovery and discharge
Requirements
- Current RCVS RVN registration, verified before booking
- Confident in anaesthesia and surgical assistance
- Referral or high volume theatre experience preferred
- Reliable travel within the agreed radius
- Professional indemnity cover in place
