Locum RVN - Small Animal (Manchester)
About the Role
An independent small animal practice in Greater Manchester is looking for a locum RVN to cover theatre and ward shifts. The role covers anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient care and nurse consults. Full shift cover with occasional lone working on quieter days.
This is a candidate led booking. You give us your available dates, your travel radius and your day rate, and we bring the shifts to you. We verify RCVS RVN registration before any booking is confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor anaesthesia and support the vet surgeon in theatre
- Provide high quality inpatient and ward care
- Run nurse clinics including weight, dental and post op checks
- Maintain accurate nursing records within the practice system
- Liaise with owners on discharge and aftercare advice
Requirements
- Current RCVS RVN registration, verified before booking
- Confident in theatre, anaesthesia and inpatient care
- Comfortable with occasional lone nursing shifts
- Reliable travel within the agreed radius
- Professional indemnity cover in place
