    Elektrotechnikermeister - Technical Operations Manager

Frankfurt, Germany€75,000 to €85,000 base, plus company car and bonusPosted Just posted

    About the Role

Riverbank Recruitment is retained by the German entity of an established Irish specialist electrical contractor. The company's registered business purpose is electrical installation and it is now building out its permanent German delivery capability from a base in Frankfurt am Main.

Under German law, a business carrying out work in the regulated electrical engineering trade must be entered in the Register of Craftsmen (Handwerksrolle) for that trade under § 1(1) and Annex A No. 25 of the German Trade and Crafts Code (HwO). That entry is not satisfied by employing electricians alone: it requires a qualified Handwerksmeister in the electrical engineering trade to act as the company's technical operations manager.

This is that appointment. It is a foundational, licence critical hire, and the platform from which the company's technical function in Germany will be built. This is not a figurehead role. The post holder must genuinely manage the technical side of the business: directing work processes, instructing technical staff, supervising works and taking binding technical decisions. The role carries personal responsibility for health and safety, both on site and for the safety of the completed works. The Handwerkskammer tests this in substance, not on paper. The post holder does not need to be a managing director.

Reports to the Managing Director and Board. Reference RBR ELM FRA.
