About the Role

Our client is an international electrical contractor delivering temporary site services, electrical installations and project works across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe, with a focus on commercial, mission critical, data centre and industrial environments.

As they grow into temporary designs and larger scale fitouts, they're building in house BIM capability. You'll turn design intent into accurate, coordinated and buildable electrical installation information, initially on major electrical fitout projects in Germany, then as a shared BIM resource across the wider group.

This is a hands on BIM modelling and technical production role rather than an engineering design or BIM management position. It's fully remote with occasional travel to project locations, and there's a clear route towards Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Lead as the function grows.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed electrical Revit models covering LV distribution, containment, lighting, small power, earthing and fire alarm interfaces
Produce practical, buildable construction drawings, layouts, sections, riser drawings and setting out information for site teams
Coordinate electrical models against architectural, structural and other MEP trade models
Run clash detection and issue tracking using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and Revit
Work from the latest authorised design information and raise RFIs early on anything unclear
Maintain BIM standards, revision control and agreed LOD / LOI requirements
Support live sites with route changes, details and query responses
Maintain as built information progressively and support material take offs and variation evidence

Requirements

Strong Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD capability
Experience modelling electrical building services and containment
Experience producing construction drawings and coordinating MEP services
Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 or a comparable CDE, plus Microsoft 365
Navisworks, BIM Collaborate Pro, Dynamo, Revizto, Solibri, Bluebeam or DIALux highly desirable
Background in electrical or building services engineering, CAD / BIM, Technischer Systemplaner or an electrical trade with strong Revit experience (degree not essential)
Professional English; German highly advantageous but not mandatory
Data centre, mission critical, pharma, semiconductor or industrial project experience a big plus
