Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult (Remote Medication Reviews)
About the Role
A private mental health clinic launching a new medication pathway. Its psychology team screens and assesses clients for anxiety, mood disorders and OCD, then refers on for medical review where medication is indicated. This role provides that medical review, remotely and sessionally, with volume building as the service grows.
This is a sessional, fully remote Consultant Psychiatrist role focused on remote medication reviews for adults. A full psychology report is provided before every session, so there are no cold assessments. You meet the client remotely, assess suitability for medication, and initiate, titrate and review treatment. The work is built to sit alongside an existing HSE or private role, with evening and weekend sessions, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Report led sessions: a full psychology report is provided before every session, so there are no cold assessments
- Remote assessment: meet the client remotely and assess suitability for medication
- Treatment: initiate, titrate and review treatment
Requirements
- Full IMC registration and entry on the Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry
- Experience initiating and titrating psychotropic medication for anxiety, mood disorders and OCD
- Own medical indemnity covering remote private practice
