This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients busy service team, visiting sites across the UK and Ireland to carry out the repair, maintenance and commissioning of rotating machinery. Working both individually and as part of a team you will be working in various environments on a wide range of pump types and ancillary equipment.

Key Attributes

• Practical experience in repair of rotating equipment, including pumps & gearboxes.

• Time served mechanical or electro - mechanical apprenticeship with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Ability to measure & record close tolerances of shafts, bearings, bushes etc.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematic diagrams & Operation manuals.

• Strong organisation skills.

• Capable of working alone or as part of a team.

• Customer focussed, with the ability to maintain a professional approach towards customers when working under pressure.

• Physically fit & able to traverse stairs or ladders for access, manually lift up to 25kg with good general health.

• Hold a current UK driving license & demonstrate good driving record.

Depending on experience successful applicants will initially spend time in our clients Loughborough workshop to gain knowledge of the products. The field engineer role comes with a fully equipped van to allow you to work throughout UK & Ireland. The field service team often work extended hours in support of our clients, clients.

Education and Experience required

FORMAL EDUCATION - Minimum BTec Level 3 Mech Eng, and/or recognised trade qualification

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - 3   - 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

SPECIAL SKILLS - Knowledge of Pump System / Hydraulics

DEFINED COMPETENCIES - The ability to work under pressure
